BBQ Chicken and Slaw Wrap

  • 1 medium sized whole grain tortilla

  • 2 tablespoons barbeque sauce
  • ½ cup broccoli slaw or shredded cabbage and carrots
  • 1 teaspoon cider vinegar

Raw Wraps Tips

What works best…
• The first layer should be dry ingredients like lettuce, sprouts, rice, quinoa, fresh veggies.
Thick spreads like hummus, mayo or guacamole can go directly onto the wrap to be eaten
right away.
• The second layer should be moist ingredients like beans, proteins, pickles, relish anything
with some moisture.
• The last layer should be the wet ingredients like salad dressings, sauces, ketchup, mustard, etc.
• Store at room temperature sealed in their bag.
• You can fold them into a backpack, purse or suitcase to take with you. They travel well.
• Add a healthy fat like avocado, hemp seeds, coconut butter to your sandwich to help
absorb more of the vitamin K in both kale & spinach wraps.
• You can use a Panini press or sandwich press so long as it’s coated with oil to lightly crisp
the wraps. Press it for a short time 15-30 seconds.
• You can make a quesadilla but be sure to add oil to the frying pan first. Use medium heat and
watch closely.
• You may microwave to heat.

Pirate Shipping Example View

As more people start using Pirate Shipping and cubic shipping, in particular, to save money on sending packages, I keep getting asked how it looks and what you have access to.

To make it easy I took a few screenshots. You can easily see access is available from the shipping import to see the original eBay, or another site, your order is on.

This item sold today:

The measurements and weights were entered on the Pirate Shipping import.

I quickly paid and printed my label

Immediately the information posts automatically on eBay as seen above.

The exact item information is available before and after your label is printed.

I love the tracking map. As you can see this item is ready to ship. The label can be printed again easy if needed. After the item is scanned the same tracking data automatically uploads to the site and therein the buyer.

It shows priority mail and the zone. The rate was 10.03 and below you can see it was 4 lbs and 16 x 15 x 6 inch

I am new to using this Shipping and still have more to learn. Yet so far it’s easy and saving me some money on almost all packages.

Some of the noteworthy changes to the USPS shipping rates include:

  • Priority Mail Express will increase an average of 3.9 percent.
  • Priority Mail will increase an average of 5.9 percent.
  • The Dimensional Divisor for Priority Mail is being reduced to 166 and will now include all zones. Lowering the Divisor means that larger packages will receive a “heavier” Dimensional Weight, which will increase the rate charged.
  • First-Class Package Service, an affordable service level for packages weighing less than 16 ounces, will move to zone-based pricing to better align with the cost of service and improve value based on distance.

USPS 2019 postage rate changes. The team includes the average International rate change by service level, such as the following for Commercial rates:

  • Expedited Global Express Guaranteed (GXG) +4.9%
  • Priority Mail Express International (PMEI) +3.9%
  • Priority Mail International (PMI) +3.9%
  • First Class Package International Service (FCPIS) +3.9%

The big question is: how will these changes impact your business?

Life Observations, Quotes, and Tips

Life is full of lessons. Some lessons are learned in an instant–like when you touch a hot stove. Others take time to fully understand–for example, what it truly means to be in love.

The older you get, the harder it is to change a habit.

When you’re young, you take for granted nonchalant habits and change quickly when you desire. As you age, your brain is hard-wired to fall back on habits, and it is harder to change—much harder. You get set in your ways. Be honest with yourself; if there’s a habit you want to change, it’s never too late. Just be patient, as the change is harder to make the older you get.

You should know how to start a fire without matches.

You never know when this might come in handy- a fire is one of the most important elements for survival for a human being- providing warmth, light, and energy.

Trust is built through actions, not words.

You can’t pay attention to what people say or promise, only what they ultimately do. The way someone acts will tell you everything you need to know.

Perhaps no other skill you can learn for free online has as much potential to lead to a lucrative career. Want to build a site for your startup? Want to build the next big app? You should learn to code. There are a lot of places that offer free or cheap online coding tutorials, but I recommend Code Academy for their breadth and innovative program. If you want to try a more traditional route, Harvard offers its excellent Introduction to Computer Science course online for free.

You should know how to use a credit card correctly.

It’s not cash…too many Americans use their credit cards irresponsibly, and in doing so, spend much more money on items that they are actually worth, pay tons of fees, and don’t have the ability to reap the many benefits of the cards. Credit card balances are supposed to be paid in full every month and they are not supposed to allow you to live beyond your means.

It’s not about what you’ve done, but what you’re currently doing.

Especially in our new world of digital media and personal branding, people want to know whose attention you are commanding today. What impact you are having today.

Your reputation is everything.

Above all, you always want former employers, co-workers, partners, and collaborators to speak highly of you. Upholding your reputation is everything when it comes to building a successful career for yourself.

“Your Personal philosophy is the greatest determining factor in how your life works out.” — Jim Rohn

Your beliefs aren’t as important as your behavior about those beliefs.

Your beliefs and values are important to you, but how you act and talk to others about what you believe is more important than the actual belief. Treat others with kindness and respect no matter how different their views are. Contrast can bring clarity.

Spreeder is a free online program that will improve your reading skill and comprehension no matter how old you are. With enough practice, you could learn to double, triple, or even quadruple the speed at which you read passages currently, which is basically like adding years to your life

You should know basic survival skills.

Should you ever be stranded in a forest or forced to survive outside, you’d want to know the best places to get water, what you can and cannot eat in the wild, where to build a makeshift bed, how to catch a fish, how to correctly cross a river, how to keep your core body temperature high… and much more. Get a survival guide and begin learning.

Your habits can make or break you.

Every action is a brick, meaning it’s what you do on a daily basis that determines the house you end up with. You are the house you build.

“I keep having vivid dreams of success. Then it’s time to sleep.” — Connor McGregor

The more you believe in yourself, the less you need the approval of others.

You don’t need to lean on others for support. When you have a dream or goal, the most important thing is that you believe in yourself. People are going to tell you it can’t be done, but when you connect with your own dreams, you’ll be unstoppable.

The most important relationship in your life is the one you have with yourself.

Without a positive relationship with yourself, every other relationship in your life will suffer. It always starts with you.

You can take the University of Washington’s Intro to Public Speaking for free online. Once you learn a few tricks of the trade, you’ll be able to go into situations like being asked to present at a company meeting or giving a presentation in class without nearly as much fear and loathing.

You should know how to build a website.

Another issue of basic technological literacy. Everyone should have a website- whether it’s personal or for a business. If you don’t know the basics of building a website, you have to hire someone or buy a template. You are going to benefit a great deal from learning. It’s also a great way to earn side income.

How you invest your time is a reflection of how you invest your money.

The smart and wealthy know the value of their time. They see each minute, hour, day, week, month, and so on as an opportunity to invest wisely in themselves. You must do the same.

You cannot compare your path with anyone else’s.

We each have our own struggles, and we each have our own triumphs. Your path is your path for a reason. Pay attention to the lessons meant for you and you only.

Lifehacker’s basics of photography might be a good place to start. Learn how your camera works, the basis of composition, and editing images in post-production. If you finish that and you’re not sure what to do next, here’s a short course on displaying and sharing your digital photographs.

If you aren’t getting done what needs to get done, there is a fear.

We avoid the things we don’t want to do–or worse, wonder if we can do at all. This is why startup plans and book ideas get pushed to the back burner so often. To get the work done, you have to confront what’s holding you back.

First you have to take care of your health, and there are only two things you need to keep in mind:

Healthy Diet

Exercise

Almost everything is simple, but not always easy.

As you age, you begin to learn most everything is relatively simple. You recognize that you don’t have to work so hard or worry so much, things seem to fall into place, but learning this and accepting it as truth is never easy.

You should know how to manage your time.

Time management is a precise art and science, and if you haven’t studied it yet, you should. Applying these principles of time management to your life can get you back precious hours you didn’t know you had, and completely eliminate much of your productivity destroying behavior.

UC Berkeley put a stats intro class on iTunes. Once you know how to understand the numbers yourself, you’ll never read a biased “news” article the same way again — 100% of authors of this post agree!

Failure to prepare means preparing to fail.

You can’t expect yourself to move through things quickly and effectively if you haven’t set yourself up for success. What you do today impacts where you start tomorrow.

You aren’t aiming for perfect. You’re aiming for perfect practice.

It’s not about tunnel-visioning on the shiny idea of the final product. It’s about treating each step of the way with intention. That’s how you create something worth presenting to the world in the end.

You should know how to negotiate.

Good negotiation skills can save you a ton of money. These skills can also get you that raise at your job you’ve been dreaming about. If you know how to negotiate properly, it means you’re holding all the cards and you’re prepared to battle it out.

Your life is a reflection of how well you know yourself.

It always comes back to self-awareness. The more willing you are to address your fears, shortcomings, and points of conflict, the more self-awareness you will have and the happier you will be.

You should know how to shut up and listen genuinely.

If you learn to do this well, you will be loved and admired, and you will understand people better. It can improve relationships drastically, and ultimately make you a more compassionate person.
